Blog

It's been a couple of years since we have refreshed the website, all of the previous content is available of course, but we hope that the new interface will make the site easier to use. The main aim of course is to keep bringing our readers the highlights of the research and activities that we are involved in. We really believe that some of the stuff we are looking into is both ground breaking and potentially life changing for people in lesser developed communities all over the world.

Nigel made an interesting observation from his trip to Uganda - that whereas in the recent past shaking hands was a long ritual, it has now changed to touching knuckles with a closed fist. This was more so in the villages. When asking why, people say that it is due to ebola - fear of, keeping contact to a minimum. Interesting rapid shift in a very basic cultural greeting! Will it revert to a shake once the ebola fears subside?
